BINTANo7!!

HELLO!!!!! just got back from bintan last night. it was super fun there!!!!!!=D waiting for people to load the pictures up!!

first few days was just settling down into lodge and teaching. the lodge looks like shit from the outside but the inside was just so wonderful! and airconditioned=D first day of teaching was kinda tiring cause we din know one another. but as days pass, we grew more attached to the kids and bonded really well=D i taught them hopscotch and we played games tgt!! there were more boys than girls and we ran like madness. the kids were soo adorable and few of them were so shy=) and they will shake hands with you after class which i thought was really sweet=)

we went on a township trail which was super boring but kinda hilarious at the water plant=x the i/c's pronounciation was hilarious=x the water PL-ANT and the slut will be collected at the bottom of the bottle. ahahas. and sir kept making fun of him. i think he know=x this is really bad

so in between we went on a mangrove tour. it was very cooling but rather disappointing cause we only saw fireflies all the way. i managed to touch one=) oh well. colleen and william managed to catch one, i think. oh yes. the stars were AWESOME. dont think i will get to see it in sg.

on the third day we went to bandung factory outlet which was a heaven for the guys but not for the girls. we din have much to buy!!=( hilmi and dominic spent around 100 each la-.-' the men's section had nicer clothes so oh well

forth day we went on a fishing tour. we had to sit on a SAMPAN which was quite a experience cause the sampan was rocking like madness and we couldnt move a single inch.got to know some of the traditional ways of fishing.it was nothing much la. cause the sampan was really slow. rachpek and my butt were very painful after the trip.


cant really rmb what we did over there. monday was farewell day. it was kinda sad to see the grade 4 students crying=x the farewell ceremony was freaking long and the WHOLE school came up to us to shake hands. wooo. so it was longlonglongg. took alot of photos with zihan's camera and some with bobby's. real pity i din bring my cam-.-'

moved to nirwana beach resort for one night stay. was in the same room as missho, yijun. we went 'high tea' and made an appointment at the spa booth!!=D on the last day, colleen,rachpek, yijun and i went to the gym. we sort of worked out a lil then we went to have breakfast. the buffet spread wasnt that fantastic. drank lots of milk=x then yijun and i went for our MASSAGE=) yijun was freaked out cause we had to strip naked=x hahs. they needed our backs to be bare. so she was saying what if someone we know walks in and capture that moment. it would be embarrassing la=x hahs. it was free and easy the whole day then

i felt that the trip has taught me alot. wrote alot of reflections down in my book. hopefully these kids will one day be able to walk out of that restricted area and get to see the world. so learning english now will be beneficial!!!hope that indonesia will grow and prosper in future and more children will have better education=)
felt that i din do much during class. bobby was the one doing all the teaching. i was just the facilitator walking around to make sure they're dng work. so i hope that i'll be able to go to future ocip, to help more people and contribute more=)
