TAIWAN PLUS ORIENTATION

HAHA been so long mans. i wanted to blog about taiwan trip like weeks ago=// wah luckily i kept the itinerary=D
FIRST DAY, reached kaoshiong at about 10plus? and because of some sports thing they were hosting(the one china refused to turn up) we had to travel all the way to kenting to stay. 2hours bus ride and we finally reached there at 1plus=( were all so shagged but we were told to meet at 11am the next day so YIPPEE=)

SECOND DAY: went to E-Luanbi first. it's famous for its lighthouse. said to be the brightest lighthouse in Asia(quote from itinerary) jump shots with my cousins. haha and we had to walk super far out to the sea, the route wasnt comfortable mans. very rocky. then we went to kenting street for lunch. wah lao, throughout the whole trip, i thought the food served at restaurants were UGH, the street food were so much nicer. omg. i think i lost and put on weight in between meals. HAHA. eh next up, MAOPITOU, a place where you can see a rock sculpture shaped like a cat. like wth, it's not even obvious i tell u. -.- wah i tell you, the instant noodles at taiwan are super FANTASTIC. LOL. i should have bought a carton of it home. seriously the best. think the best meal there was maggie already. haha

THIRD DAY: instant noodles for breakfast; fo kuang shan monastery where you get to see monks and buddha statues. hundreds of them, im not kidding mans. they're all lined up along the walk way. and each and every one of it has a different expression on their faces. quite cool actually. Anping Old Street next where we had a Tainan Specialty Lunch. eh everybody except me thought the lunch was the best meal ever. i only ate 2 dishes-.- thought it was quite disgusting leh. cause they had all the rubber food and yam and mushrooms=/ my dislikes. sampled lots of food along the street. went over to Salt Mountain next and i tried the salt ice cream! not really fantastic but must try. haha. went over to GUANTZELING for a night stay. supposedly famous for their black springs, more like greyish and reddish springs. it was spooky and soul-less. the water looked rather dirty and in the end, we soaked our legs in our rooms. all rooms come with mini springs and the couple rooms have TRANSPARENT bathrooms. WOOHOO! mich edwin should go there ar. HEH HEH. no curtains nothing. haha so open ar, the taiwanese.

FOURTH DAY: Fenchi Hu Old Town where we had lunchboxes for lunch. awesome! HAHA i love. best meal next to maggie. the meat was YUMYUM haha and it tasted like singapore food. maybe that's why i love. HAHA. bought some cute alisan dolls keychains. oh this old town is famous for their yam/tapioca balls. and beef noodles. we checked into a hotel at Alisan and went for a recreation walks where we appreciated trees and flowers=/ the temperature was at a cool 20degrees and i felt dry and clean even after walking through the man made forest. there were these sisters' ponds and it was named that way cause apparently 2 sisters fell in love with the same guy, they ended up committing suicide cause they wanted to give in to one another. in the end the guy married some other girl. HAIS> sad right the sisters.

FIFTH DAY: woke up at freaking 3am just to watch sunrise. and i took my first train ride. HAHA abit sua ku i know=/ and i could really see the sun rising! HAHA after standing for like 2 hours staring at nth. as the breakfast was totally suck(porridge with unknown food, some preserved vegs i assumed), i went to maggie again. very unhealthy i know. went for a cruise tour after breakfast and we came to a deserted island. like wah lao. i thought we could see something interesting, in the end, it was like a 30min sun tanning experience for me and taking photos with random trees and signages-.- went on to another island where we climbed and climbed up a hill and entered a monastery. ate famous ah po cha ye dan(tea leaf egg) super nice kays! take the cruise for the eggs. okay la. you guys should experience it. then we went off to a tea plantation and bought green tea powder, supposedly good for constipation and complexion. and because of me, my tour group got a 1 for 1 special offer from the boss. HAHA. cause i had the stunned face when he said," one packet for NT2000=Sing 100" woohoo! after buying the awesome green tea powder, we headed towards taiyi leisure farm where we had this flora dinner(not too bad) and flora walk. DIY session after dinner(making of a keychain) and karaoke session which was pathetic cause everyone left after singing one song. HAHA. i stayed to support the tour guide. how nice right.

SIXTH DAY: went to chiang kai shek memorial hall and martyr's shrine where we witnessed the changing of shift of the guards, they have this elaborate ceremony and performance. the martyr's shrine is built to honour people who had served the country and sacrificed themselves for others in one way or another. then we took the Tai Chung high speed train to TAIPEI. like finally. haha. lunch was at this unique restaurant advertised on tv before. food was fab and decorations was even more awesome!! went to XIMENDING where we had ah zhong mee sua(really nice) and shopped around. the shoes are very cheap indeed! haha but no time to look around for better deals. so i only bought 1 pair. then we head onto local product store, WEIGE(viagra, haha) to purchase some pineapple tarts and moon biscuits. really tasty=D off to SHILIN night market. HAHA THE FOOD IS AWESOME MANS. must go on empty stomach. HAHA and the mango dessert was truly amazingly nice. HAHA. very worth your money.

SEVENTH DAY: okok coming to an end. we headed to WUFENPU for some shopping. not enough time so didnt buy alot. the place is freaking huge mans. the clothes are all very similar and u can get lost inside=/ more food to be bought again. we went to TAIPEI 101 mall. very atas and none of my business. the cheapest thing we got there was NT10 for small fries from KFC> haha freaking cheap. 40cents leh. another night market where the XXL chicken was crispier and nicer than the one bought at SHILIN. clothes also super cheap here!

LAST DAY: omg im tired of typing already. last day was supermarket day where i got my MAGGIES haha. that's all. oh one more thing i love about taiwan is that they have many variations of yakults. green tea, peach, with coco cubes. super delicious! haha and cheap too=D shopping was okay. better to go Free and easy. haha. anyway think next year i wanna head to HONGKONG and then transfer to taipei for a day or 2=D HAHA start saving now! oh and pictures i haven dl from camera yet=// HAHA
