Togi/ Le Chocolat Cafe/ D Good Cafe

For two consecutive days, I met up with Sherling and Mabel, and then Jasmine today for yumcha/dinner. It felt so good to have met up with them and we really caught up quite a bit! It's so exciting that they are either searching for a job, have already found one or pursuing masters! Hopefully we'll be able to meet up once in a while once we have started our work:/ Really so glad I befriended these lovelies in uni and they are definitely friends to keep for life :D

Met up with Michelle for some Vietnamese kway teow at Pho Hoa! Love love love the soup. It was super sweet and very heavenly! Went over to dailyscoop for some desserts and we wanted to get some cupcakes at Plain Vanilla but a pity, they close at 8pm:(

Headed to Togi restaurant for some korean cuisine with Mabel and Sherling! The food was surprisingly to my liking and was really yums! I always thought korean food to be healthy and bleh (you know, with the veggies and the weird side dishes). The side dishes there were catered to a singaporean's palate, we felt. There were soya sauce potatoes and spicy ikan bilis, etc. So, it really suited our palate, albeit being a tad too saltish.

We ordered kimchi soup with chicken, bibimbap, and seafood pancake which was raved about online by other consumers. We felt that the pancake was really average as we could only taste the flour? It was also rather tough sooo did not like it at all. Bibimbap was super good! The waiter was kind enough to mix it for us! It was flavourful and the ingredients complemented each other well too! Last but not least, the kimchi soup was yummy but the kimchi taste was slightly lacking:/ You can add the kimchi from the side dishes into the soup for stronger kimchi flavour!

Oh! And we ordered pear juice and plum juice for drinks. Pear juice contained pear bits and it was refreshing! Both Sherling and I like it alot!

After dinner, we decided to settle for a cafe to catch up more (the staff at Togi were rushing us off as there was a queue outside:/) and so we walked to Ann Siang Hill to take a look. We came across this cafe, Le Chocolat Cafe and we were drawn to its pretty deco inside! Teehee! Mabel, Sherling and I ordered Sencha, Chamomile and Earl Grey tea respectively. We shared a molten chocolate cake with ice cream. The cake was really moist and chocolatey but it was not oozing chocolate, sadly:c We chatted till the cafe was closing and decided to yumcha again the next day! Teehee!

The cake is rather flat from this photo :s

Jasmine joined us today for high tea at D' Good Cafe. I reached there pretty early and was fascinated with the elevator hahaha. Managed to get the swings by the window;) Mabel and I had a great time swinging back and forth hahaha! We ordered a pot of tea each (TWG Sencha, French Earle Grey, Silver Moon, Moroccan Mint). Silver Moon smelled really sweet but we forgot to try it from Sherling's pot:c All of us shared the waffle with cookies n cream ice cream. The waffle was fluffy but not crispy enough for Mabel and I. Sherling and Jasmine was busy talking about job openings and weren't paying much attention to the food:<

We left at dinner time and Sherling and I headed to breko for some pasta (we were craving for it!). Both of us ordered carbonara (mine with bacon, hers with mushroom and chicken). It was good but a tad too saltish:/ The bacon was generously added into the carbonara so the dish was filling and really worth the price ($14.90). A random thought while chatting with Sherling; we might never know what we want, but at least we will know what we don't want and this guides us in making choices in life.

Might be having another yumcha/shopping session with Mabel and Jasmine next week! Cannot wait! Till the next!
