SK2 Magic Ring!

So today I finally headed down to JEM to redeem the SK2 sample which I had redeemed on FB (hahaha!). At the same time, I also wanted to check out this Charles and Keith bag which my sister had told me about.

omg love the colour!

Unfortunately, the store at JEM did not carry the bag in the colour I wanted so I reserved the one at Tampines Mall. Now I have to drag my lazy ass down to Tampines, all the way from Jurong, omgg.

After having lunch at sushi tei, Min and I headed to the SK2 counter inside Robinsons! The saleslady, Cammi, told me that we were entitled to a free skin analysis and so, because we were super free, we decided to test our skin to see how the condition is! I went for it first (apparently, the device, some Magic Ring, can detect your skin flaws and texture even with light makeup on- I had tinted sunblock on and this was not a problem for the device). The device could analysis the 5 dimensions of a clear and healthy skin- Texture refinement, firmness power, wrinkle resilience, spot control and radiance enhancement. I had an average of 76% for all dimensions, not too bad imo hahaha (I didn’t think it was possible for anyone to get an average of 100% until I went home to google about SK2 products and I found a lady with 100% leh! AMAZINGGGG).

The texture refinement of my skin fared the worst, probably due to all the bumps and enlarged pores. It measures how smooth your skin is! The texture of my skin was akin to a 22 year old, so still not bad since I’m 23 this year hahaha. For the other dimensions, they were akin to a 13 (radiance)-15 year old so I must say I was really pleased with the results hehehe. Thank goodness I started using sunscreen when I was…17? Ok la, it wasn’t sunscreen but it was the Olay whitening lotion (with UV protection) so I guess that sufficed. However, although my skin age for spot control is only 15 years old, I need to start targeting the invisible spots beneath my skin. Apparently, these invisible spots are a result of exposure to uv rays when I was younger and they may be visible in the next few years. Am considering using some of the SK2 products to tackle the spots:/ Cammi told me that the normal range of Sk2 products would do and I can start on the anti-ageing products when I'm 25/26 years old but I wanna be a little bit more kaisu ah:/ Better start early than to regret later hahaha.

The magic ring!

I forced Min to undergo the skin analysis also because I was super curious to find out her results. Why? Because she doesn’t use ANY skincare products! She doesn’t even use a cleanser lor and her skin still look so amazing :< *jealous*. Her average percentage for the 5 dimensions was 56%! Cammi told us that her result was considered average but I would say that’s pretty awesome for someone who doesn’t use any skincare products right? She had way more visible and invisible spots than me (cause she doesn’t use any sunblock), texture was quite terrible cause her skin is super dry (think cracks on her nose?!?) but fared pretty ok for the other 3 dimensions. Cammi was really nice to give her some sunblock and serum samples to try! After the skin analysis, I pulled Min to Watsons to purchase some skincare products. It’s high time for her to get some moisturizer and sunblock lor. We were introduced to Eucerin by the promoter and she was obviously trying to hardsell but the products really felt quite awesome (like non-sticky face and eye moisturizer) so we bought the cleanser, moisturizer and eye cream (for myself) from her. We bought more than $100 worth of Eucerin products and now I'm a member with them hahaha! We also got a Hadalabo Sunscreen for Min. She was VERY reluctant to purchase the products and of course, lazy to apply them. I forced her to clean and apply the products immediately after we had purchased hahaha. The way she applied the products onto her face was quite a funny sight, cringing at every move, zzz. As I’m typing this, I’m sure she would have forgotten about the products and not use them at home now -__-. Must.Constantly.Remind.Her.

Anyway, once I get my pay in Sept, I might consider buying the SK2 products:/ Reviews online have been very positive (my cousin once told me it was not good for her skin.. but that’s only one negative experience hahaha) but the products are rather expensive (as compared to my hadalabo and laneige). There’s also this Avene product that I wanna get for my spots/freckles ($89). I can’t seem to find it anywhere at the Avene counters elsewhere (The promoter at JEM showed me once). I wanted to find out more so I can google for reviews but I could only find a similar product, under a different brand, and the technology is rather new (usage of light to penetrate the product into our skin). So I guess I will splurge, quite abit, on skincare next month:/ Soooo need someone to control my spending:c
