Teachers' Day

Happy Teachers' Day to all who are teachers, had been a teacher or who will be a teacher in the near future! I had my first teachers' day dinner at Chevron's last week. They had 4 themes-Denim delight, Disco 70s, Prom Pom and Stripes & Dots. Too many themes in my opinion. I turned out in stripes, as did most of the teachers, hahaha since it was the easiest to adhere to. I heard the theme last year was some egypt related which sounds more fun hahaha. They had to rent costumes and did outrageous makeup!

This was a photo taken with my mentor, Hasyimah! She was the host of the night and I thought she did great! Was very entertaining and so bubbly!! You can see why I'm enjoying my stint at JPS now. hahahaha!

Anyway, my table was really on the roll that night! 7 out of 10 of us won something at the lucky draw (me including hehehe, I won a portable charger whooopppp!) and we won 2 out of 3 days, earning us 2 toblerone bars each! 

The Ikea boxes were given as door gifts. Very practical I like!

We celebrated Teachers' Day in school yesterday. I got to receive several gifts from my students and some of them were really sweet! hehe.

 A mini chocolate bouquet which I thought was really pretty! The student told me her mum made it! So impressive!

And finally we have.... I don't know what this is called. Apparently it's some 'game' that the P1s are fascinated with nowadays. What is the bookshop auntie selling-__-.

 Yesterday a student also bought some goodie bags for the whole class because the next day was her birthday! So sweet and how many of you miss this! I remembered getting this and giving out these during my birthday also! ^^

Disney princesses bags were a hit among the girls. hahaha. 

That concludes my first ever teacher's day! I was browsing through taobao for gift ideas for their children's day and there were aplenty! I saw a few stationery sets which were really pretty and affordable. Think I will go for that already (available in disney princesses designs also! whoopie!!).
