When I have a class of my own in the future, the number one rule I would implement for my students would be to NOT repeat themselves. Earlier last week, this student came up to me and told me about his newly bought American flag, thrice. He tried to tell me for the fourth time but I managed to sneak away to attend to a student's query. Today, he brought a new toy to school. And yes, he told me about it twice and wanted to tell me for the third time before I told him,'You do not have to repeat yourself. I know about it already.' OMG, I'm so sorry if I have no patience for this. It's ok for the students to ask me the same questions (if they don't understand and not if they weren't paying attention) or to tell me something interesting that had happened in their lives BUT it really gets onto my nerves when I attend to you and you tell me something which you had already told me, like a few minutes ago. Sorry, Ms Ang buaytahan. I know children yearn for attention but please, not in this way can. I wonder why is it that they won't get tired of them repeating themselves, you know, and I honestly do not think I was like that when I was in primary one. So, number one classroom rule in future: No Repetitions.
